Because what he claimed was going to be the downfall of the USA, had already started to happen all around the country. And the crazy thing was, Thomas should have had no idea about this as he had been in a coma for all that time! How did he know about this?
Whatever terrifying future he had seen, people were convinced it was not a future they wanted to live in, and many citizens started to try and evacuate the country…
But what had Thomas seen during his coma? What was happening to the USA, and could the country still be saved?
As always, Bryan and his parents were sitting in his brother Thomas’s hospital room. They had spent a lot of their time here – Thomas had been in a coma for 10 years already, and the doctors weren’t able to tell them when or even if he would ever wake up again.
Friends and other family had asked them how much longer they were going to live like this, but Bryan and his parents always responded that as long as Thomas was breathing, they would not give up on him. And so, for the last 10 years, they were basically living in the hospital as well.
They remained by his side, even though it hurt them deeply to see their son and brother like this. Thomas had always been a bright ray of sunshine in their lives. So when they got the call about his terrible accident 10 years ago, their world was turned upside down.
No matter how difficult it became, they never gave up hope, and the hospital staff was glad to see that Thomas was so loved. Even though he was in a coma and he was unable to communicate or respond, they believed that he could hear and feel their presence. So his family made sure that he knew they were always there for him.
The whole situation was especially hard on Bryan. He was actually a couple of years younger than his brother, but he felt like the roles had reversed by now. Thomas’s life had essentially been put on pause, while Bryan had continued to live his life for the last ten years. And during every special moment, Thomas had been on his mind.
On this particular day, Bryan sat next to Thomas’s bed, and he had been telling him about a conversation he had had with his girlfriend, Lisa. They had recently moved in together, and they had talked about the next step in their relationship. Lisa had always wanted to become a mother, and she felt ready to go on the parenting adventure with Bryan.
Bryan was filled with joy and happiness, and he couldn’t wait to share the big news with his brother. Just as he was telling Thomas that he was going to be an uncle, he suddenly stopped talking.
